Summer Summit Series | Mt. Parnassus

Welcome to the Traverse Hike Club. Put your altitude training to the test and take it to the mountains with the Traverse crew.

We’re kicking off our Summer Summit Series with a 7-mile out-and-back hike to the summit of Mount Parnassus (13,580 ft) via Watrous Gulch in Silver Plume, featuring 3,261 feet of elevation gain along the way.

With Herman Gulch Trailhead being an easily accessible trailhead and expansive Front Range views waiting at the summit, this Class 2 hike is the perfect challenge for experienced hikers and adventurous first-timers alike. The estimated hike time is 4–6 hours, and no technical gear is required.

If Mount Parnassus has been sitting on your Colorado bucket list, this is your sign to finally check it off. Spots are limited to 15 people, so sign up fast!
