Zone 2 Recovery Flow

January 7 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm


Join Certified Athletic Trainer, Tanner Garner for a Zone 2 athletic recovery class. We will start with 20 minutes of Zone 2 Cardio followed by some light myofascial release, and then we will end with a restorative yoga-ish flow. The yoga flow will be very focused on correcting posture and opening the hips/upper back and shoulders. 


Zone 2 is an aerobic base building zone. When we are in this zone we are improving blood flow to our muscles. This helps the body produce more mitochondria in our cells. More mitochondria means more energy and energy storage capacity. In this class, we will also be using nasal breathing to stimulate nitric oxide production which further stimulates blood flow and has antimicrobial properties.
