A Complete Guide to Recovery, Mobility, and Mindful Movement

Most Denver gyms treat wellness like a perk. We treat it like programming.

At Traverse, your sauna session, your Flow class, your time in the compression boots aren't the soft stuff you do when you're tired. They're how you train smarter, recover faster, and keep showing up for the workouts that move the needle. Heat, cold, breath, mobility, soft-tissue work. Each one is a tool. Used together, they're how high-performing humans stay high-performing.

That's the philosophy behind every wellness offering we've built into both of our Denver clubs.

Here's a closer look at what's waiting for you in both spaces.

Why Regular Wellness Practice Matters

Before we get into the offerings, it's worth saying this plainly: consistency is what makes wellness work. A single sauna session feels great. A weekly contrast therapy practice changes how your body responds to stress. One Bodywork class loosens you up. A standing Bodywork habit changes how you move under load in every other class on your schedule.

The members who get the most out of our wellness offerings are the ones who treat recovery the way they treat training which is as a practice, not a one-off. Better sleep, fewer nagging injuries, sharper focus, more capacity for the workouts they actually love. That's what's on the table when you build wellness into your week.

The Heated Movement Studio

Our Movement Studio is the home for everything mat-based and infrared-heated. Burn, Bodywork, Core, and Flow all live here, each one programmed to complement our other class formats. The heat warms your muscles, supports deeper movement, and turns every class into an environment that rewards intention.

Burn — Build Strength Through Sustained Effort

Burn is a 45-minute, beat-driven mat class that blends weighted strength work, sculpt training, and explosive cardio bursts. The music sets the pace and the coach pushes you through it. Low-impact, high-intensity, and the kind of class where the playlist genuinely does some of the heavy lifting.

Bodywork — Help Your Muscles Repair and Recover

A guided myofascial release class that uses foam rollers, balls, and bodyweight to break through tension and restore tissue quality. Every session opens with breathwork and closes with down-regulation. If you train hard, sit at a desk, or both, this is the class that keeps everything else working.

Core — Improve Stability and Range of Motion

A Pilates-inspired class that builds strength through core stability and dynamic mobility. The work shows up everywhere else: better form in Arena, more control in Strength, more efficiency on HYROX prep days.

Flow — Improve Movement and Athletic Performance

A heated, yoga-inspired class that delivers sweat, strength, and mobility in a single session. Power for the days you want to push. Yin for the days you need to unwind.

Thermotherapy: Sauna, Cold Plunge, and Guided Practice

This is where recovery meets performance. Step into our custom saunas with heaters that reach up to 190°F. Just outside, you'll find cold plunges that range between 40–50°F. The contrast between them is where the magic happens leading to improved circulation, reduced inflammation, and a real, measurable boost to how your body recovers between sessions.

Members can use the space on their own, or join a Guided Thermotherapy class led by one of our trained coaches. These 50-minute sessions combine contrast therapy, structured breathwork, mobility, and meditation.

Two formats:

  • Restore: slower-paced, designed to down-regulate the nervous system. Longer exhales, gentle mobility, and grounding work to help you manage stress and sleep better.
  • Perform: designed to challenge you. Using the stressors of temperature, breath cadence, and breathholds this work helps to build resilience and support athletic performance.

The Recovery Lounge

If the Movement Studio is where you sweat it out, the Recovery Lounge is where you put yourself back together.

Both Traverse locations offer a dedicated space curated for members to prepare for and recover from their toughest workouts. It's quiet by design, stocked with the tools that actually move the needle, and built around the idea that recovery should feel as intentional as the training itself.

Here's what you'll find inside:

  • NormaTec by Hyperice Elite compression boots that use dynamic air pressure to increase circulation, reduce swelling, and help your body bounce back from training faster. Thirty to forty-five minutes in these and you can feel the difference in your legs the next day.
  • Therabody WaveRoller for guided foam rolling on the dedicated stretch mats, and Theraguns for targeted percussive work on the spots that need it most. Built to relieve pain, increase flexibility, and speed up recovery with deep percussive massage.
  • HydroMassage Chairs are heated water-based massage that relieves muscle soreness, reduces stress, and supports post-workout recovery through heated massage work. Drop in for 10 to 15 minutes after a class and you'll understand why these have become a member favorite.

Start Where You Are

Whether you're chasing a Hyrox PR, working through a desk-job-induced lower back situation, or just looking for a smarter way to feel better in your body, our wellness programming is built to meet you there. The best part is you don't have to choose between training hard and recovering well. At Traverse, they're the same membership and the same community.
